  Description:       


Assignment to the Customs Agency is to protect society against the illegal import and export of goods through the effective control and to secure state revenues through innkrevjing of duties and taxes. We offer exciting tasks in an organization with important social responsibility. We are organized in a central directorate of six underlying customs regions and reports to the Ministry of Finance.

Adviser / Senior Adviser to the infrastructure section

Customs Agency is an intensive IT user with a well-organized IT sector. IT infrastructure of the agency's nation-wide and consists of around 2000 PCs in the network. We use including AIX (LPAR), Wintel, Oracle, Sybase, MS-SQL, EMC Legato Networker, BMC Performance Manager and EMC storage solutions.

 
Infrastructure Section has responsibility for ensuring that the agency has an expedient and secure IT infrastructure. The section is also responsible for establishing and follow up procedures for needs assessment, planning and implementation of changes, and development of IT infrastructure for the agency. The position will be tillagd tasks associated with the operation and management of AIX environment to the agency.

Work tasks:

    * Daily operation and management of AIX environment to the agency
    * Preparing for the new environment to test, the creation and configuration of new databases and virtual server
    * Scripting, primarily Unix / AIX shell programming
    * Required operation and configuration tool that handles monitoring / auto-generated warning and backup management (including BMC and Legato)
    Username: * Management of existing and new environmental

 Requirements for applicants:

    * Relevant tertiary education from the university / college within the IT
    * Solid experience in the operation and management of Unix / AIX-based environment
    * Expertise within one or more relevant subject area (Unix / AIX, scripting, Oracle / SQL database, database security, and tuning) with a focus on operational
    * Good written and oral formulation capacity in Norwegian
    * Good cooperation skills and great capacity for work
