Tech Consulting AS is a Norwegian consulting company in engineering and construction disciplines and technical / administrative services in procurement, contract, planning, QA, HSE and project management.
The company has its basis in 25 years of experience in consulting and project services as well as much practical project experience in operating companies, offshore engineering, industrial and advisory activities.
Tech Consulting AS has offices in Bergen, Stavanger, Oslo and Cleveland UK, and our consultants with contracts in Norway and abroad.
For a customer we are looking for Senior Mechanical Engineer for engagement Stavanger.
Responsibilities:
* Must be able to work completely independently and have extensive experience as a package engineering (PRE).
* Evaluation and choose the right process equipment for a given purpose on board the oil / gas platforms.
* Writing technical requisitions on typical rotating and static process equipment.
* Writing mechanical Data Sheet.
* Evaluate the offer.
* Be technically responsible under the BCM (Bid Clarification Meetings).
* Be technically responsible for the procurement of technical process equipment for oil / gas industry (Package Manager).
* Be technically liable under supplier visits and during the final testing of equipment FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Requirements for education:
* Msc. or BSc. Engineering for direction.
Requirements for work experience:
* Must have extensive experience as a package engineer. (10-15 years) in the oil and gas industry.
* Must have experience with different types of rotating and static process and utility equipment to the oil industry.
Requirements Qualifications:
* Candidate must have both theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical equipment.
* Must have ability to communicate very well on several levels in the organization and with supplier and customer.
* Very good English skills (written and oral.)
* Must have ability to take the overall technical responsibility in equipment procurement.
* Desired by as much multi-discipline experience and understanding as possible beyond the purely mechanical.
