Fisheries and Coastal Affairs is a food ministry that manages a future-oriented and international industry in growth. Department of Aquaculture, seafood and the market is responsible for management and development of habruksn?ringa, management
of sj?omr?det and market development and trade policies on the basis of fishery and aquaculture industry. Department has a flat structure and the 26 employees are organized into six teams: Aquaculture, Seafood, Fish and operating, International,
Marketing, Budget, agency management and R & D team. Department has a good working environment with many young workers, and with great spreing of various backing Ansar.

It is available a permanent position as Senior / advisor in the department of fisheries, seafood and market. We are applying for a veterinarian, fish health biologist or person with other relevant natural scientific education with knowledge about the fish that will take part in the work of an environmentally sustainable development of aquaculture industry, and ensure health of the wildlife living stocks.
Fisheries and Coastal Affairs his vision is "values from the sea - Norway's future", and work with a good fish health is quite important to contribute to achieving the vision. Good fish health at the wildlife living stocks of fish, prawns and shellfish are necessary for an environmentally sustainable development of aquaculture and natural diversity. Work tasks:
* The candidate will have tasks related to fish health and environmental consequences of aquaculture activities.
* You will work to ensure that fish health hj? farmed and wild living stocks are good, and in accordance with the political level of ambition.
* An important part of the work will be to prepare and support the Minister and other political leadership in appropriate cases.
* Through your assignments you will have close contact with the FSA, the National Veterinary Institute, Institute of Marine Research, aquaculture industry and international organizations.
* You will have used your know-how in the exciting interface between disciplines and policies.
Qualifications:
* We are applying for veterinarians, fiskehelsebiologar or persons with other relevant natural scientific education Wed master-/hovudfagsniv?.
* Applicants with documented work experience in the area are preferred. This may be working within the administration, industry or research.
* We require good oral and written presentation ability. You must be comfortable to live in material written in both Norwegian Bokm?l, Norwegian Nynorsk and English, often at short notice.
* There is an advantage if you have an understanding of what it means to work in a ministry.
