Norwegian Institute of Public works to improve public health by strengthening the preventive health care in the community. The department provides advice, providing services and provide knowledge on how health develops, the factors that affect it and what can be done to improve it. NIPH also ensure the right advice and services to the legal system. The department has a management division and five fagdivisjoner - infectious diseases, environmental medicine, epidemiology, mental health and Infectious Disease ..

Of Public Health has available a permanent position as a quality adviser at the Department of Quality (Ilka). The work will mainly be in the Division of Forensic Toxicology and Drug Abuse (RE), but the opportunity for work in other divisions.

Department of Quality has overall responsibility for development, implementation and monitoring of the department and the division's quality system. Department of Quality has 12 employees and is organizationally located directly under the departmental management. Division of Forensic Toxicology and Drug Abuse is currently certified in. ISO 17025

Responsibilities:

    * Follow-up and maintenance of the division's quality system.
    * Keep up to date on current regulations in laboratory operations, particularly ISO 17025
    * Lead and participate in audits
    * Provide advice and guidance to division / departments within the Quality, Safety and internal
    * Working with external quality control samples: the organization and processing of results
    * Contribute in the development of the institute
    * Other quality assurance
    * Quality advisors are deputy responsible for quality in RE

Qualifications / personal qualities:

    * The person appointed should have graduated from the university or college and a minimum of 3 years of work experience, preferably within laboratoriefag. Particularly relevant experience may replace formal education.
    * Should have experience in quality assurance work, and it is an advantage with knowledge of simple statistics and the use of spreadsheets (Excel).
    * Experience in HSE management and internal control is an advantage.
    * The person employed must have good written presentation skills in Norwegian
    * There is great emphasis on personal qualities such as ability to collaboration and communication, as well as the ability of structured, independent and purposeful work.
