Position Summary
This position is responsible to the Loading System Manager for the assistance in maintaining safe and reliable offshore loading for all shuttle tanker operation globally. Support owned and T/C in shuttle tankers and their owner/operator, ship teams, Projects Department, TNSTO, BU and provide service to Key Customers in the Offshore Loading Environment.
Major Responsibilities:
* Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority * Participate in the development and implementation of operation standards and goals, and be part of a centre of expertise within Offshore Loading to the company. Coordinate activities with the rest of the organization as required * Participate as part of global marine resources in the execution of their responsibilities to ensure meeting Offshore Loading objectives for achieving high quality consistent operation standards and procedures * Ensure and implement established, standardized operating methods and measures to ensure high quality and cost efficient operations * Review and evaluate cost effectiveness, consistency, quality, accuracy and performance to standards * Assure effective customer service and relations by implemented operating methods to deliver quality products for own and in chartered vessels * Assure compliance of ship operations with company policies and with both local and international regulations * Establishes processes to evaluate and continuously improve Offshore Loading Operations performance * Perform individual assignments as required * Support the organization in responding to emergencies * Participate in incident investigations as necessary in order to establish cause and recommend corrective action * Establish and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation, external ship owners, managers and the community; and maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities * Maintain a register of all offshore loading system improvements as identified by manufacturers, customer, the industry and state regulatory authorities
Requirements (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities):
* Demonstrates analytical, problem solving, time management, project management and decision making skills. * Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner * Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to a changing environment * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications * Result oriented, flexible and able to handle periodically high workloads * Good co-operation skills. Service minded. * Able to communicate well in both oral and written Norwegian/English * Structured * Some travelling shore/onboard must be expected * Master Mariner background / STCW, Cl-1 certificate * Preferably experience as senior shuttle tanker officer, holding deck officers STCW, Cl-1 certificate and DP certificate
