On behalf of our client in Stavanger area, we are looking for Lead Engineer for assignment.
Description:
* Supporting the project managers, project teams, joint venture partners and contractors
* Providing piping/layout engineering input to design basis documents, technical reports, schedules and plans, technical requisitions and contract documents
* Setting the standards for project specifications and contractors' activities on engineering - assuring the quality of the design
* Verifying and commenting on design documents from contractors
* Handle deviations/non-conformances within the profession together with Technical Authorities.
* Define the need for third party verifications
* Go through and recommend change requests
* Participating in reviews and audits
* Ensuring all necessary activities related to engineering are executed in a timely manner and to the right quality in order to meet overall project goals and objectives
* Verifying the design integrity of work carried out by engineering contractors to ensure that the proposed solutions are technically sound and meet operability and maintainability requirements
* Supporting the mechanical construction team in planning and execution
Special challenges:
Fast track project executions in relatively newly established organisations.
Qualifications:
* BSc or MSc degree in engineering.
* Minimum 2 years experience within leadership
* 5-10 years of experience in Petroleum related Engineering, preferably with architectural, piping, insulation, surface protection and/or passive fire protection experience.
* Familiar with Project Execution phase, and monitoring/coaching of Contractors
* A good working knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements
* Strong execution, ? and solutions-oriented skills
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills - ability to engage, motivate and coach staff.
* Fluent in Norwegian and English
