University College of Sogn og Fjordane has around 3000 students and 300 employees. College has five departments and a wide academic offer and includes 16 BSc, 3 Master's degree program and just over 40 short educational curriculum. College has three study sites in Sogndal, F?rde and sand. Sogndal is the largest study site, with approx. 80% of the students and the university college's central administration.

Subject
Fellow in social research will be shared by university college (social worker, child education and social education) in Sogndal. Through the new scholarship position we wish to develop expertise within  special studies in social education.
 
In the research work of fellow position is desirable with the project that can improve knowledge about the connection between the active care and health and social welfare between people in need of care services. At the university college, this central theme especially in academic and educational environments in the health, sports and social care. "Active care - physical activity and nature experience in health-promoting work. The term "active care" covers also about nutrition, culture and various types of environmental measures. The research work of fellow position can focus on one or more forms of active care. 
After consideration of the application may Fellow Positions will be related to professional research at the university college. This is one of five academic priority area for research at the institution. It is founded a research group on the field, and add your own research leader.
 
Qualifications
Applicants for the position must have a master's degree or hovudfag within social care, health, sports or more general social scientific programs.
 
Applicants must design and add the sketch / project description for a PhD project. There will be an advantage if there is a one formal review / approval of sketches / project describe event from a institution.
 
When considering applicants will be placed the most emphasis on the quality of the project describe event for PhD work. But grades and content on  other publications, participation in research projects, dissemination of experience from work and any experience in teaching will count in the assessment. Publications and experience must be documented.
 
Recent applicants are called in for an interview. Of work for the student will be the Faculty of Social Sciences.
 
The research fellow must take part in an approved plan for a PhD degree within a timeframe of four years. 25 per cent of working hours will go with the teaching and development work in the academic environment at HSF. HSF can not even award the Ph.D. HSF will appoint a special internal supervisor to help in this work. Terms of employment
The position is salary for the state's salary scale, l.pl. 17.515, code 1017 or code of 1378, wages rose 43-50 (65) for qualifications. College has service pension. The drawn lovfesta deposits to the state pension fund.
 
State employment shall be the highest possible degree reflect the diversity of the people.
