There is close collaboration with A/S Vigeland Brug that supplies power to the refining plant from its own hydroelectric power plants in the lower part of the Otra. Engineer / Realist (BSc / MSc)
Vigeland Metal Refinery A / S seeks a systematic and competent engineer / scientist who primarily will work with advanced analytical equipment.
Main Tasks:
- Daily operation, maintenance and monitoring of analytical equipment.
- Calibration of analytical equipment.
- Maintain procedures.
- Verification of analytical results.
Desired background and personal qualities:
- Higher education in inorganic chemistry / materials science / physics.
- Experience with analytical equipment such as optical spectrometer and mass spectrometer is desirable, but training internally and externally must be expected.
- Good computer skills.
- Good written presentation skills in both Norwegian and English.
- Enthusiastic and flexible person.
Equipment:
The company has a robot-controlled optical spectrometer, manual optical spectrometer, X-ray fluorosens instrument and a highly sophisticated mass spectrometer which is delivered in the New Year (GD-MS). By rapid employment, it will be up to the entire installation of massespektrometeret being conducted in cooperation with the newly employed.
