Tech Consulting AS is a Norwegian consulting company in engineering and construction disciplines and technical / administrative services in procurement, contract, planning, QA, HSE and project management.
The company has its basis in 25 years of experience in consulting and project services as well as much practical project experience in operating companies, offshore engineering, industrial and advisory activities.
Tech Consulting AS has offices in Bergen, Stavanger, Oslo and Cleveland UK, and our consultants with contracts in Norway and abroad.
For a customer we are looking for Discipline Lead Structural for involvement in Stavanger.
Description (position):
Job responsibilities:
- Lead and Coordinate a small group of structural engineers and designers
- Ensure the quality of the structural work within the group
- Ensure that the discipline work is done according to relevant procedures and standards
- Ensure correct manning and competence within the group
- Preferably act both basic structural calculations and 2D CAD work
- Preparing study reports
- Interaction with other disciplines
- Contribute to the training of structural junior personnel
Education requirements:
- Master or Bachelor's degree in structural engineering
Work Experience Requirements:
- Long experience, 5 to 10 years, within offshore modification projects
Qualifications requirements:
- Able to lead and Coordinate a small group of structural personnel
- Good communication skills
- Understanding Design of secondary outfitting structures (eg deck structures, monorails, pad eyes, walk ways, pipe supports, access platforms etc.).
- Norsok standards (and ConocoPhillips TCDs preferably)
- Software: MS Office Standard (StaadPro, Mathcad, Microstation 2D preferably).
- Basic Offshore Safety Training Course
- Norwegian / Scandinavian language written and spoken
