Bergen University College (HiB) is one of the largest colleges with 6500 students and 650 employees. HiB has a broad subject areas within teacher education, health and social care, engineering and business courses. HiB will be co-located in the new college building at Kronstadt in 2014. HiB aims to offer its own doctoral programs and in the long term achieve university status.

At Bergen University College, Faculty of Education, Division of Mathematics / didactic, it is free up to 2 permanent positions as Associate Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor.

Division of Mathematics Didactics at Bergen University College, Faculty of Education, currently has 17 professional employees including 1 professor, 5 associate professors and 1 research fellow. The academic environment will offer studies in mathematics / mathematics education in pre-school teacher education, primary teacher education, bachelor of science and master's in teaching science. In addition, the driver section extensive continuing education activities.

Responsibilities and work
The assignments will be related to teaching, supervision, evaluation and placement follow-up within one or more of the aforementioned studies. The college has a profession-oriented research and development as one of its priority areas, and the section has extensive research and development geared toward math in kindergarten, school and teacher education. It is expected that the successful candidate contributes through practice-related research and development aimed at mathematics course in the kindergarten, school or teacher training. It includes management of resources in the post.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must have at least graduate degree from a university or college in mathematics or mathematics education. Applicants with research qualifications beyond the graduate / Master level, and / or teaching practices are encouraged to apply. When considering the application to the teaching experience from kindergarten, primary and / or teacher training and personal fitness are important. The section lays great emphasis on professional development and environmental construction.

There is desirable that the successful applicant has practical pedagogy (PPU). If one does not have PPU, it must be added within two years from the date of appointment to document practical pedagogical skills on the basis of education, teaching, supervision or didactic development and complete the course in college education

Payroll Terms
